l James Senter of KLCC was one of 45 riders who took part on Sunday at East Velo Presents Winter Series (Race 2) The Hare (4ths only) at Redbridge Cycle Centre, near London.

Senter commented: “The weather conditions were dry, cold and windy.

“There was 45 riders. The race started fast for the first few laps, then slow, then fast for the rest of the race.

“At the bottom of the circuit it was windy and a head wind up Hogs Hill.

“With two laps to go I got boxed in going up Hogs Hill which pushed me out of the top ten for the final lap, so had to work very hard coming up to the top of the hill.

“I was about sixth then my legs just went and I managed to roll home ninth.

“Average speed was 23.1mph with top speeds of 39mph.”
