l In July the Wiggenhall Bowls Club will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first opening of the club’s Bowling Green in Wiggenhall St. Germans.

To mark the occasion, WBC will be holding a 30th celebration on Saturday, July 9, as close as possible to the original opening date, July 5, 1986. Neighbouring bowls clubs will be invited to join in the event by entering a block of three players in the Celebration Drive, and there will be prizes, refreshments and general festivities.

In the meantime, the opening of the green for the 2016 season will be on Sunday at 2pm. The club will again holding regular Saturday afternoon roll-ups through the summer, weather permitting.
