Pelicans U14 Girls started their HA Cup campaign with an emphatic 5-0 win over Harleston Magpies.

In the second half a well worked goal from Ella Scott gave Pelicans the confidence to attack more and ultimately led to another goal from Sophia Basset.

Pelicans didn’t look back from then on creating many more chances with goals coming from Izzy Pope, Lucy Lim and Ellie Burt in a great display of teamwork and determination.

l The Pelicans Girls Development squad won away at Norwich City on Saturday and now sit five points clear at the top of the league.

Norwich scored in the first three minutes. The much younger Pelicans created some sublime passing down the right which resulted in carving an opening for Amber Scott to fire home.

In the second half Pelicans again tied Norwich in knots with their passing and Izzy Pope beat the keeper at the near post with a reverse strike.

In the final quarter Mia Moore netted before Norwich pulled one goal back. The determination from the whole team saw Pelicans hold on.
