Lynn’s Carl Breeze added to his tally of podiums at the weekend – but was unable to close the gap on Ginetta championship leader Tom Oliphant at Silverstone.
A win and third place for Oliphant was enough to keep closest rival Breeze, who bagged third place himself in his first outing, at bay in the standings.
J In qualifying, Tom Wrigley brought to an end Oliphant’s dominance, after he pipped the championship leader to pole position by just four thousandths of a second.
Unfortunately for Wrigley, he was unable to translate his raw pace into starting power, and it was Oliphant who swept into the lead off the line.
Wrigley was soon swallowed up by Orton and Breeze, who held on to third spot until the finish.
In the second race, a great start for Oliphant and Jamie Orton saw the pair trading places for the lead around much of the opening lap, with Breeze in third.
Breeze, who completes his season at Brands Hatch in a fortnight, was eventually passed by newcomer Jordan Stilp and finished fourth.
Breeze thanks Bluechip, HHC Motorsport, Holbon Photography, Mr Snippers, Forma Exercise and Fitness, Graham and Leigh and @GPlummerMedia for their continued support.
