Harrison Tuck, a Springwood High School Year 8 pupil, finished the outdoor season of the British Inline Speedskating Championships in fine style, concluding with a silver medal in the British Marathon held at the London Velodrome circuit at the Olympic Park, which saw him lose out on a gold medal by only the smallest of margins after a hard race.

This brings to end a season which saw Tuck pick up three Championship bronze medals and a gold medal, becoming British Champion at 3km, as well as competing in European races for the first time. Added to a series of race wins in competitions against teams from Birmingham, London and Derby, Harrison, who has only been competing in the sport for two years, says this has been his best season to date, and with a new team (RS Pro Skate), he hopes to build on this next year. The club can be contacted via its Facebook page. RS PRO SKATE.
