The King’s Lynn Roller Hockey Club under 15 (Intermediates) team are the 2014/15 Eastern Counties League double winners.

The team completed a clean sweep in the league with a 100 per cent record.

They then clinched the double with a comfortable 10–1 win over Letchworth in the Knockout Cup Final.

The team all consist of Year 10 pupils from schools around the area.

These include two girls, outfield player Millie Twidale and goalkeeper Eiladh Clague. The rest of the team are: England team mates Matthew Baker and Darcy Quinn-Seyki, who will represent their county in the U17 European Championships in September; and Josh Horn and Jude Rowland, also key players in the successful team.

On cup finals day U13 player Finley Griffin jumped up an age group and helped the team with their 10-1 win.

Lynn RHC coach Andy Horn said: “It was a pleasure to coach such a talented team.”

A big thanks also goes to MKM Building Supplies who sponsored the off rink polo shirts for the players and coaches at the Eastern Counties Cup Finals Day.
