Lynn visited Newton (Cambridge) and won a close challenge match 7-5 at the weekend.

The Lynn team (Nathan Boughen, Casey Gower, Ryan Whitby, Rochy Woods and Billy Blake) gave handicap starts to all their opponents but still pulled back these starts to gain the victory.

Gower and Whitby were both unbeaten on the day, while Woods’ 32 was the day’s highest break.

Newton will visit Lynn in two weeks’ time for the return match.

Some other games are being planned against Bourne and the Narbeck Junior League.

JUNIOR SNOOKER AND BILLIARDS LEAGUE

The weekly league continues with Ryan Whitby leading the Premier League and Billy Blake the Championship.

Blake (11 years old) cleared the colours from brown to black to record a nice 22 break during the latest games.
