We are moving towards the end of the current coarse fishing season at Nar Valley Fisheries on Tuesday, March 31.
New season permits will be in the local tackle shops by April 1.
Carp in Lake Geneva have finally started to feed well after the quiet winter. A number of 20lb fish have been banked this week with the best reported a superb common of just over 30 pounds. Fenn Lake is also worth a look at with a few doubles and low twenties showing.
Hobbs Lake Trout fishery is in fine form with over-wintered fish willing to take gold-head nymphs and hare’s ear fish on a floating line. The best fish of the week is a Brown Trout of 5lb 4oz, closely followed by a rainbow of 5lbs exactly, the general stamp of fish showing is two and a half to three pounds.
