King’s Lynn RHC Under 13’s maintained their 100 per cent record this season thanks to four more excellent wins in their home tournament at Alive Lynnsport.
After a fantastic day, Lynn top the league with seven straight wins and also have games in hand over the other teams.
In their first game against Letchworth, Ethan Shread and Ryan Howlett both scored two goals apiece, to take Lynn into the interval 4-1 up.
The opposition fought back strongly and put some pressure on, with two quick goals, but the youngsters stepped up a gear and with a brace from Fin Griffin and another goal from Shread, Lynn took the victory 7-3.
Against Peterborough, the only other unbeaten team in the league, Lynn expected a tough encounter, however after a slow start Joseph Hawes scored a well-taken goal, and Shread added another before half-time making it 2-0.
In the second half, Lynn’s defence stayed solid throughout, and Jason Gay smashed in a rebound. Three goals were added by Shread, Howlett and Ria Griffin in a fantastic 6–0 win.
Next up were a young Walpole team, and with a final game against a strong Sudbury team coming up later, lots of rotation meant a bit of a scrappy game.
With Josh Roberts in goal keeping another clean sheet the game ended 5-0 to Lynn.
In the final game against Sudbury the whole team were really on form.
Excellent passing and movement, great goalkeeping and a very solid performance gave Lynn the points with a 5-1 win.
Goals came from Shread 3 and Fin 2.
