Lynn Roller Hockey U17 team, sponsored by MKM Building Supplies and Samueljacks T-Shirt shop, continued their 100 per cent record for the season.

A fantastic performance by all the players meant they won all four games at Ely’s home tournament held in Soham.

The team now stands at the top of the Eastern Counties League.

First game of the day saw a slow first half against Ely with Lynn 1-0 up at half-time with a goal from Josh Webb, second half the team got into their attacking play with goals from Owen Scott, Tom Barry, and Josh Horn winning 5-1.

Lynn were awarded a 10-0 win over Sudbury due to them fielding an over-aged player. Next up were Lynn’s biggest rivals Letchworth.

The game started fast with Letchworth hitting the post within a minute, but a minute from half-time Owen Norris flicked a shot into the top corner past the goalkeeper.

The second half saw the boys and the only girl in the team Kathryn Baker (goalkeeper) play some of the best hockey they have ever played with Matthew Baker putting two more goals in for Lynn, and another from Barry and Webb saw a 5-1 victory.

Matthew Green, the second goalie, started the last game against Peterborough where everyone got on the scoreboard with a 10-2 win.
