IBA Ltd KLTTA week 25

Wisbech Wizards lost their magic, slipping up 6-4 to Wasps in the IBA Premier this week.

Brett Heppenstall conjured up two wins for Wizards but a Mike Crowson maximum and two wins each for Liam Irlam and Steve Goodale kept the Wasps buzzing.

Heacham surprised champions Ziggys, winning 6-4 with a powerful display. James Patterson was unbeaten and Mollie Patterson added two wins. Allan Nicholls top scored for Ziggys with two wins but Gary Hewitt and Steve Barrett could only add a point each.

St. James cruised to a 10-0 win against Wisbech and despite some battling from Rob Rix, Serafim Melo, Alan Jones and Howard Lupton were unbeaten.

Martyn Allen was brilliant for Avengers against Topspynn. Despite wins against Richard Johnson and Karl Brown he came unstuck in five ends against the impressive Ross Brown who led Topspynn to an 8-2 win.

Wisbech Hawks top man Craig Pack continued his good form with a win against Peggs Scaffolding’s Johnny Reavell but it was Peggs who won 9-1 with maximums from Wayne Mason and Martin Skipper.

Ambit Projects are cruising at the top of Division One after a 9-1 win against Spin Doctors. David Whitby and Rob Rix were unbeaten for Ambit and Peter McDonagh responded for the Doctors with a win against Graham Rogerson.

Runcton Holme continue to climb with a win against their B team. Clive Sandle had a win over Graham Warren but John Mingay and Melvyn Jupp were too strong.

Wasps 2 hold second place after an 8-2 win against Swaffham Terriers. Keith Richardson and Peter Nunn had wins for the Terriers against Terry Rudd but maximums by Mick Forth and David Hughes helped Wasps to the win.

Heacham A won 6-4 against Pauls Driving School thanks to a Leigh McDonald maximum who had good support from Melissa McDonald and David Woolley. Phil Brown top scored with two wins for Pauls and Ashley Starling had a good win against Woolley.

Dan Vertigan continued his fine form with a maximum for Blades against Greenfingers and Max Smith added a win against Ray Drew. Mike Cooper and Stuart Frost had a brace of wins each for Greenfingers in their 6-4 win.
