Mixed weekend for Snettisham’s Wright

Snettisham’s Phil Wright had a mixed weekend in the 750 Motor Club’s K-Tec Racing Clio 182 Championship.

Wright qualified fourth for both races and used his knowledge of the circuit well during a very wet and thundery first outing on Saturday afternoon.

He moved up to second by the time the flag dropped.

Despite a great start in the second race, disaster struck in the middle of lap two when an engine failure meant he was unable to complete the race.

Wright currently stands third in the rankings of 31 drivers in the championship.

He is supported, as ever, by Luke Loades of Rounce and Evans Property Management and Shaun Hagen of Shaun Hagen Motor Services.

Thanks also go to Selina Automotive, All signs, Grey’s of Holbeach and East Bilney Garage.

n It was a great weekend for Sam Smith Racing in the 750 motor club MX5 cup at Snetterton.

Two third places sees Smith lead the championship, after having to replace the engine after a problem in testing.

Smith thanks sponsors West Dereham Plant LTD, GA Services, Steve Hart Racing, Wave Windows, Fusion Composites and his friends and family.
