West Acre A lead from Narborough B and Narborough A.
There have been several noticeable performances from newcomers recently.
Narborough C’s Liam Exley recorded an excellent score for a ten-year-old of 63, this however being bested by another 10-year-old Billy Blake (West Acre C) who scored an effortless 79 points in his 30-minute game.
Nine-year-old Decan Bensley also added to this upsurge of promising players when scoring a great total of 46 points for his West Acre C team.
Narborough A’s James Freestone scored a cool 30-minute total of 114, while Rochy Woods recorded another new personal best score of 150 points to score her first 150 points total in 30 minutes’ play.

West Norfolk Billiards League
Several new players have made promising starts recently.
Gaywood Cons’ Gerry Rudley recorded a nice score in his first game, but still lost to a high scoring Ryan Jackson who helped his Narborough side to a 2-0 defeat of Gaywood.
Another newcomer, Mick Cooper for West Acre A, played a great game to defeat Mark Tims, having breaks of 37, 44 and 44 and scoring 291 points. Teammate Phill Welham also found Gaywood’s table to his liking scoring a season’s best score of 595 points to help Acre A to a 2-0 away win.
Both Dereham Cons sides still lead the way.
Mat Duncalf made a welcome return for Downham Ex-Servicemans, but could not make it a winning start losing to Alex Ward during West Acre B and Downham’s 1-1 draw, James Rix won his game to pull back the point for the visitors.

Swaffham Veterans League
Only a point separates all the teams after four games.
Swaffham Cons narrowly lead after Phill Welham played very strongly. Welham produced breaks of 167 and 132 to defeat Holme Hale’s Mick Miles and runs of 90 and 272 unfinished against Thetford Cons’ Steve Wright.
Norfolk Matchplay 101up Billiards Championship
Several West Norfolk players competed at Norwich’s Broadland Snooker Centre.
Syderstone’s Dean Bavister did very well to reach the semi-finals of this 27-player event, where he lost 2-0 to West Acre’s Phill Welham, who himself lost to Dave Nichols (North Walsham) 3-0 in the final.
Nathan Mann of Norwich recorded the highest break of 100 exactly.
