Narborough A ‘rain’ supreme in the wet

Narborough A took full advantage of being involved in the only match to reach completion by beating Fakenham 3rds by seven wickets to go top of Division Two.

Fakenham reached 137 all out with Bruce Bushell unbeaten on 39 and Jack Wells scoring 33. David Cornwall took 3 for 23 and Danny Yeates-Cornwall 3 for 31.

Matthew Coe with 46 and Jonathan Coe with an unbeaten 49 saw Narborough home to victory in the 33rd over.

Gooderstone reached 76 for 5 with Justin Marshall scoring 42 and James Buhlemann taking 2 for 25 before rain stopped play.

Holt reached 109 for 4 with Ciaran Chapman scoring 52 and Robin Thaxter not out 25 with AMBiT Projects MoM for Hospital, Kevin Fisher, taking 3 for 23 before the rain prevented any further play after 26 overs.

Downham B were unable to raise a team and so conceded their match to Castle Acre.

Division One

Hockwold managed 22 overs before the rain caused the match to be abandoned with Matthew Blake scoring 32 and Anthony Sadler an unbeaten 39 in Heacham’s total of 99 for 5.

At Castle Rising, Northwold batted for 26 overs reaching 131 for 3 with M Glover scoring 46, Jason Plumpton 32 and Ash Drohan 38 not out before rain stopped play. Perry Dawson took 2 for 13.

No play was possible at Denver versus Snettisham or Hillington vs Sandringham.

Division Three

Dersingham A moved four points ahead of Gayton in the top of the table clash. William Pennington took 5 for 27 as Gayton were bowled out for 78. Dersingham A were in trouble at 13 for 3 when the match was abandoned.

No play was possible at Gooderstone A vs Bircham A, Snettisham A vs Denver A or Swaffham A vs Castle Rising A.
