Sunday was a special ride for King’s Lynn Cycling Club members as 39 riders met up and cycled 42 miles from Sandringham Visitor Centre to Holkham Hall and back.
On this ride a journalist and photographer from national magazine Cycling Weekly rode along the whole route with the club and many members were interviewed and photographed throughout the day.
As KLCC is celebrating its 85th year, this event was planned to celebrate by inviting Cycling Weekly, the UK’s best-selling cycling magazine, along to one of their rides.
Geoff Allum, Monica Williamson, club president, and Owen Crisp, vice-chairman, met the riders at Holkham Hall to share club information to the journalist.
Also interviewed was Annie Thompson who organises the annual KLCC Road Race in October each year. Other riders were interviewed along the route.
Riders from all ages and abilities cycled together on a 42 mile route. Cycling Weekly will be publishing this in their “Ride With Us section” in a few weeks’ time.
Chairman Phillip Seaman wishes to thank all who attended and did the club proud.
l On a unseasonably cool damp and drizzly evening, 27 riders participated in KLCC’s second Wednesday evening 11.5 mile time trial.
