Pat rewarded for playing in every Fakenham season since 1965

Fakenham & District Table Tennis League recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a social evening at the Gallows Sports Centre in Fakenham. Just over 50 people attended  and many of these have played or are stll currently playing in the league in the 50 years. It was pleasing to see four players who had played in the opening season these were Dennis Chamberlain, Pat Johnson. Barry King and Ted Barnes with both Pat and Dennis  still playing in the league.  To recognise his achievement of playing in every season of Fakenham League since 1965  Pat Johnson was presented with a Engraved Glass Tankard by Chairman Andy Marsh. (Picture Attached)

Fakenham & District Table Tennis League recently celebrated their 50th anniversary with a social evening at the Gallow Sports Centre in Fakenham.

Just over 50 people attended and many of these have played or are still currently playing in the league after the 50 years.

It was pleasing to see four players who had played in the opening season – Dennis Chamberlain, Pat Johnson, Barry King and Ted Barnes with both Johnson and Chamberlain still playing in the league. To recognise his achievement of playing in every season of Fakenham League since 1965, Johnson was presented with an engraved glass tankard by chairman Andy Marsh.

Thank you to the local businesses and individuals (Bribar Table Tennis, W.J.Aldiss, Papworth Butchers, Langham Glass, Fakenham Racecourse, Fakenham Sports & Fitness Centre, Morrisons, Tesco, Simon Rayner, Andy Marsh, Ben Andrews, Steve Hales) who kindly donated raffle prizes for this event.

The Fakenham Table Tennis League is a small and friendly league, but still competitive and suitable for any age from 10 years upwards.
