There was proof in the old saying that good things come to those wait for a member of Middleton Hall Golf Club Seniors.
Playing in a friendly round of golf on Thursday, February 9, Ray Brown – scored his first hole in one in nearly 60 years of playing the game using a 7 iron to cover the 128 yards on the 11th hole with a single blow.
On Monday 13 playing in the Seniors 6-6-6 Competition Mike Hyde used a nine iron to strike his ball to the 128 yard, 11th hole.
His shot landed on the green and took a couple of bounces before rolling gently into the hole.
This was Mike’s first hole in one in over 11 years playing at Middleton Hall and only the second ace in his long golfing career.
