Ryston Runners returned to the Norfolk Sportshall series at the weekend after having a few years away from the event.
The under-11 boys, competing against 10 other clubs from the county in their first outing as team, did well to finish second overall with only minor points separating them from first place.
The team consisted of Ben Smith, David MacQueen, George Evans, Liam Clare and Kit Howlett.
Howlett and Clare had overall individual wins in the speed bounce and standing vertical jump as well as finishing second overall in the doubles relay.
Kit also won the two-lap hurdles as well while Smith and MacQueen won their individual races during the day, as well as taking part with Evans and others in the other relays where they competed well.
The boys were leading overall going into the final relay. They gave everything and won their heat convincingly but were narrowly beaten on time by a strong Waveney Valley outfit.
Bailey Took took part in the under-13 age group, where he competed well in a wide-range of events, the highlight being his victory in the four-lap race.
Gabrielle Clare showed that jumping ability runs in the family, taking fourth in the standing vertical jump as well as performing well in the standing long jump.
