The Norfolk Arena, Saddlebow Road, plays host to its annual Halloween Carnival Night this weekend, with action commencing at 6pm tomorrow night.
Topping the bill are Unlimited Bangers in their Spooktacular, also featuring the British Under-25 Championship.
Local teenager Callum Gill will be gunning for glory, one year on from making his debut in the adult formula after a very successful career in Junior Bangers.
Gill’s father Russell, Andy Frost and local favourites Ricky Twell, Joe Barratt and Luke Allen are all set to grace a night when there will be many special cars in keeping with the Halloween theme.
Support comes from Junior Bangers and 1300cc Stock Cars who contested their British Championship at the track last weekend. The locals will be looking for revenge this week after Suffolk’s Mark Bloss claimed the crown. It will offer less experienced drivers a chance to shine, with the final of their 2014 White & Yellow Grade Series opening the programme. Lynn driver Chris Brown will start on the front row of the grid, from where he will be tough to beat, while Austen Freestone is another local hoping for success.
As well as the free funfair rides at every race meeting, children will also be able to take part in the Halloween fancy dress parade in fun for all the family.
Last weekend’s action at Saddlebow Road also saw the latest round of the BriSCA Formula One National Points Shootout. Norfolk’s Mat Newson maintained his lead at the top of the points with just three rounds to go, with fourth in the meeting final and sixth in his heat, in an entertaining affair.
