Halloween Go Ride races

The coaches from King’s Lynn Cycling Club and British Cycling arranged a fun packed Halloween cycle cross course for 9-14 year old children at Lynnsport on Thursday last week.

At this event children enjoyed participating in varying races which included a Time Trial, Staggered Relay, Elimination Race, Scratch Race, Slow Race, which tested the children’s ability to track stand.

However the most exciting race was the Le Mans-style race, where the Children had to run to their bikes before completing two laps of the course.

Monica Williamson, president, and Owen Crisp, vice-chair of KLCC, attended to offer support and marshall and assisted in handing out prizes to children at the event too.

Overall the Children from Go Ride and MTB Club enjoyed their races and are now looking forward to their next event.

This will be a “Spotlight” cycle cross race at 6pm on Tuesday, November 24 at the Lynnsport athletics track. For more information on Go Ride Events please contact Lee Broadhurst on 07724660989 email leeb37.lb@gmail.com
