West Norfolk men’s first team progressed through to the Norfolk Junior Cup Semi-finals after local rivals Swaffham conceded their quarter-final at the weekend.

Although disappointed, West will now be targeting a final spot when they face Thetford on April 9. If successful, they will then face either Dereham or Lowestoft & Yarmouth in the final.

However, West need to draw their attention back to league action tomorrow, when they host Wanstead in their last home match of the season (KO 3pm at Gatehouse Lane, North Wootton), before the final away games to Upminster and Southwold.

With a promotion spot now unlikely as Epping Upper Clapton and Old Cooperians are now ahead in the table, West will be looking to maintain their third place position with some strong performances to end to the season.
