Snettisham’s Phil Wright secured two top 10 finishes at the second meeting at his home circuit of Snetterton in the 750 Motor Club’s K-Tec Clio 182 championship.
Having had to accommodate a late change to the race calendar, he had to complete qualifying and races on the same day. Despite carrying success ballast from his recent good finishes, Wright secured pole position for race 1 and 2. During race 1 oil on the track caused him to leave the circuit at Palmer corner and dropped to 13th position, but his driving skill and knowledge of the circuit helped him secure fifth.
Race 2 started well but Wright was hit by another car while entering Murrays Turn and this dropped him down into 12th. Again his racecraft helped him past the other cars to secure eighth position.
Wright competes next at the last meeting of the year at Donington Park in Leicestershire, where he hopes to secure fourth position in the championship.
