West Norfolk U16’s journey for their Norfolk Cup game proved to be probably the toughest of the season so far, not truly reflected in the final score on Sunday.
Wymondham initially recoiled at the physical determination of the West team, but fought hard to keep West from crossing the try line.
Wymondham continued to attack but the likes of Cant, Ignaski, Ridgwell and the other forwards, took the brunt to allow breathing space for the backs to clear the ball to the wing. Wymondham only took one try in the first half.
The second half saw no slow down in the pace or ferocity. West’s combined effort and guts saw them have a sprint by Revell taken into touch within reach of the try line.
Wymondham took advantage of a bruised and tired West to finish with two further tries. West were disappointed but held heads high as they were applauded by a very entertained crowd.
