West Norfolk AC athletes travelled to Peterborough last weekend for the final round of the Southern Athletics League and in near perfect conditions ended up with a very respectable mid-league table placing.

Craig Brooks finished his season with another superb sub-53 second 400m and a 200m win. Making his first appearance this year, Richard Mohan didn’t disappoint with a good 12.4 second 100m and performed well in the field.

Ben Collison was pleased with his third place in the 800m and Cameron Ross continued his good run of form, clinching more vital points in the 100m and 200m. Adam Dewdney earned two thirds in the Javelin and Long Jump under a high level of competition.

West Norfolk ladies had a successful day with all finishing inside the top three in each of their respective events.

Tayla Benson stormed to victory in the 200m (25.9).

Emma Dewdney competed strongly also in the 200m.

Katrina Wasteney ended her season on a high with a full day of competitive competition. Making her league debut, Lucy Edwards had a very busy day competing with excellent jumps in both the Long and Triple jumps. Nicky Neill showed grit and determination to end her season well with a good 1500m.

Special thanks to Ben Collison, Tim Brooks and all the officials throughout the season.
