All three of West Norfolk AC’s young stars gained fine personal bests as the indoor season for 2016 started.
Charlie Williams ran a fantastic pair of 60m races over the weekend, in 7.77 and 7.76, setting a new club record at the Eton indoor track.
Williams went on to gain another personal best in the triple jump, winning the competition in 10.80m.
In addition he won the shot (11.0m) and jumped a solid long jump (4.67m). The 60m times qualify Williams for the national championships.
James Greenhalgh was at Lee Valley with the sole aim of securing a national qualifying time in the 60m hurdles for U20 men.
Greenhalgh managed this with a fine PB of 8.83 and followed this up with a second run in 8.86, which means he can now prepare for the national championships in Sheffield next month over his favoured hurdles event and also the 60m flat.
Alfie Williams, also at Eton, moved up an age group to U15 and put in a fantastic series of throws for second place in the shot. His best was 9.30m, a great personal best. Williams also long jumped well with 4.14m.
