Brothers Charlie and Alfie Williams led the way as a number of West Norfolk AC athletes took part in the Norwich and District Sportshall open at the weekend.
Charlie won all three of his events to end up as a clear overall winner for the U15 boys.
A fantastic 4 lap victory was followed by a 2.60m standing long jump and 11.54 in the shot, a new PB.
Alfie Williams didn’t let the side down either also winning the overall title in his age group (U13). Alfie threw a massive 11.23 in the shot, placed third in the 4 lap and jumped a fine PB in the standing long jump (2.23m).
Under 11 boy Ryan Wood continued to improve his athletics with a good run in the 2 lap race, but his best performance was 1.75m in the long jump for second.
Amber Scott threw 6.66m in the shot, ran a decent 2 lap race and jumped 70 in the tough speedbounce for fifth.
Joseph Williams is another athlete continuing to rapidly improve with quality coaching.
He placed second in the Open competition with a fine 2-Lap second place and a new long jump PB of 2.18m for third.
Under 15 boy Nathan Smalls placed overall fourth jointly with Mason Higby, also from West Norfolk AC.
Smalls threw a PB in the shot and placed second in the long jump (2.40m) and then second in the blue ribboned event, the 2 lap final, after a victory in his heat.
Higby placed third in the shot (9.23m), fourth in the 4 lap final and third in the long jump for a consistent equal fourth overall.
A number of athletes took part in relays with Charlie Williams, Nathan Smalls and Mason Higby winning their race.
