The Men’s Club Championship was played at Middleton Hall Golf Club on August 15.

The competition was played over 36 holes with a field of 44 players and it turned out to be a pretty close run affair between father and son.

Iain Yule was leading in the morning after a superb round of 67. Seven shots back were Anthony Stannard and Jack Yule both on 74. Anthony followed his 74 with a 73 to end the day in third place but it was Jack that turned it into a contest with a course record 63 in the afternoon. Age triumphed on this occasion with Iain holding his nerve to shoot 69 and finish a shot ahead and retain the trophy which has been his since 2013.

The handicap prize was won by Mark Foster with 2 nett rounds of 68 & 63 to finish three ahead of Iain with Conor Murray in third place.
