ACHIEVEMENTS by Lynn Motor Club members over the past year were applauded at the club’s dinner and trophy presentation evening.

About 80 members and friends who attended the annual event at Knights Hill Barn, heard chairman Paul Haylock list some of their successes.

He said that the highlight of the programme was the Richard Burns Memorial Rally held at RAF Marham which was given a major boost by the presence of works drivers in the John Cooper Mini and being won by another international Mini star, Pierre Campana.

The classic car run was another major success attracting around 100 entries.

Mr Haylock congratulated various members who had successes on events all over the country and also those who took part on home ground in the club’s own monthly navigational events and grass autotests. Club teams also came first and second in the East Anglian motorsport quiz.
