New Linnets make their debuts

THE LINNETS lost 1-0 at Corby last night (Thursday) in a friendly match with a difference.

It wasn't a game of two halves - but of three thirds, each lasting 30 minutes.

It was more an opportunity to give new players their first run-out rather than a serious encounter.

The Linnets at varying times gaves debuts to striker Julian HJoachim, as well as Simon Weaver and Mark Peters.

But last season's top scorer Joe Francis, keeper Scot Howie and Ben Segemore were all missing through work commitments.

On Saturday the Linnets are at home to Cambridge United in another friendly.
