West Norfolk 29 Holt 32
West were forced to draft in four under 14s to make the full 15.
This meant a disjointed scrum and backline, which Holt exploited with five tries.
Harry Mahoney powered his way over, but a further Holt try left West trailing by 27 points at the break.
After the break, Henry (Under 14) scored on his debut.
Freddie Playford pulled another back, quickly followed by one from Jordan Thorburn.
When Ross Penn-Symonds forced his way over for West’s fourth unanswered try, it looked as though they would complete a miraculous comeback, which they were denied by the final whistle.
Thanks to the under 14s, who played their socks off, and special mention to the three power houses in the pack of Ross, Ollie and Freddie for taking the game to Holt.
A well-deserved man-of-the-match award went to Mahoney, who had an inspirational game as captain.
