IT was a great effort in the first game, but West lost 7-6.
Try scorers were Ria (2), Henry (3), and Freddy.
West also lost the second game 6-3.
With tries coming from Mathew (2) and Henry.
The final game saw West put in a more dominant performance and unluckily the game ended 8-8.

Ely v West Norfolk
West Norfolk had some encouraging performances from both experienced campaigners and some of the newer members of the team against Ely.
During the morning West played three matches, winning two comfortably and narrowly losing the last game.
An encouraging defensive effort from Harvey Cross, Mark Taylor and Angus Williams was supported by driving runs from Jake Lammas, Connor Dumpleton, Matthew Starling and Josh Gallacher.
The more fleet footed attacking play came from Keiron Farley, Daniel Grapes, Matthew Bowen and Aaron McCallister.
The scrum and line out improved with Lammas and Dumpleton making their mark and the all-action play of Taylor and Williams in the half-backs looked assured.
Tries came from Dumpleton, Grapes (2), Farley, Lammas (2), Cross and Williams (3).
