Under 13 Norfolk Cup

Holt 32 West Norfolk 12

THE result was not a true reflection on West’s performance as they were knocked out of the Norfolk Cup away at Holt.

A knock-on by West gave Holt the opportunity they needed to clear the ball out to the wing for the first try of the match.

The West pack won the majority of the scrums, enabling Hayden Revell to provide clean balls for George Clift to take down the backs.

A conversion attempt off Holt’s fourth try was skilfully blocked by Henry Thornton.

The second half saw matched determination from West, when some early handling errors and a knock- on by Holt gave them the opportunity to drive through with Robert Mallet, Ross Nutall and George Sowerby assisting Robert Dickins in scoring West’s first try.

West continued with Davvid Zadworny scoring another try, which was converted by Henry Thornton.

The away side proved to be a worthy match for Holt and provided sheer entertainment for the supporters.
