Youngsters assessed by Leicester Tigers

Six youngsters from West Norfolk Rugby Club have just returned from an under 15s assessment tournament with Leicester Tigers.

Ross Penn-Symonds, Alfie Burton, Ryan Hutler, Harry Mahoney, Oli Pocket and Freddie Playford, who are also squad members of the Leicester Tigers Elite Player Development Group, were invited along to Leicester’s Oval Park training ground.

All of the Year ten boys performed well and are hopeful of being invited to play in a further tournament, at Leicester, in three weeks’ time.

Much of the boys’ training and progression has been under the watchful supervision and support of West Norfolk Rugby Club coaches Rowland Smith and Richard Thorn, to whom the boys are very grateful. Turn to page 114 for more rugby.
