Tonight the King’s Lynn Roger Warnes Transport Stars will be targeting a place in the Elite League Play-off Final as they travel to Poole’s Wimborne Road stadium needing at least a two-point victory.
The Stars suffered a narrow 45-44 defeat in the first leg at the Norfolk Arena, but with 15 heats still left to race, the tie is dramatically poised.
Team manager Rob Lyon has been forced into one change from the first leg with Charles Wright coming in for the injured Lewis Kerr. Guest Scott Nicholls keeps his place in the team as replacement for the injured Niels-Kristian Iversen who will miss the rest of the season.
Hosts Poole go into the fixture missing three of their team with captain Maciej Janowski, Przemyslaw Pawlicki, Kyle Newman and Benji Compton the only regulars.
Craig Cook takes on the number one position in place of the suspended Darcy Ward and Edward Kennett comes in for the injured Josh Grajczonek. Danny King, who rode in the first leg, rides at number 4 in place of Vaclav Milik who rides in the Czech Championship.
The deciding semi-final second leg takes place tonight (Monday) at 7.30pm. Broadcaster Sky Sports will be showing the meeting live along with the other semi-final, Swindon vs Coventry.
