European second for Lynn schoolKuk Sool Won of Lynn School owner and instructor SBN Darren Brown would like to congratulate all of his students who entered the 2008 European Kuk Sool Won Tournament on the weekend of May 30 & 31.
The event was hosted by the school, which was placed second, at Lynnsport.
Over the two days over 500 competitors in 35 schools from many countries performed.
Coloured Belts competed in four categories – Traditional Forms, Empty Hand Techniques, Sparring and Staff.
Black Belt competition also included Self Defence, Sword, Staff and Board Breaking. The Lynn School had 80 students compete, winning well over 100 individual medals.
Brown said: "This was a fantastic performance.
"I would like to add a special thank you to all of my students, their families and friends for their support and enthusiasm not only this last week, but throughout the whole year.

The Championships is overseen by Grand Master In Hyuk Suh and this year marked his 20th year of visiting the UK and the 50th year of the founding of Kuk Sool Won.
Two of Lynn's 1st Dahn Black Belts promoted to 2nd Dahn – Tom Standen and Graeme Runnacles are the first two of SBN Darren's students to reach this milestone.
Five students (Julia Garwood, James Melton, Jessica Prior, Kayleigh Ord and Robert Hoare) were presented by the Grand Master with their 1st Dahn.
The weekend culminated in a Masters Exhibition of the highest standard seen anywhere in Europe.
The borough Deputy Mayor and Mayoress Cllr Bill and Shirley Daws were in attendance and enjoyed seeing all of the promoting students demonstrating their skills sharing the spotlight with Senior Masters from the UK and USA.
The school's 16 Lil Dragons (all 4-6yrs) also took centre stage.
The school's students would like to thank the following companies who donated money – Mr Tim Freeze and Mr Brian McDermont (Fosters Coldstores), Mr Gary Quinlan (Hayley Group Ltd), Mr Shaun Hodgson (Shaun Hodgson Engineering) and Mr Roger Partridge (BCKLWN).
