Mini Hockey festival: St Martha's School, Field Lane, Gaywood.
Year 5 children from Lynn primary schools St Martha's and Gaywood, part of the King Edward VII School Sport Partnership (KES SSP), took part in a Zone Hockey tournament.

Nine teams from both schools took part and were split into two leagues.

In his role as community hockey coach, Lee Dowers works with KES SSP and Pelicans HC delivering hockey sessions in schools throughout the KES Partnership.

The festival was supported by Pelicans HC young leaders and volunteer umpires.

Winners were a team from Gaywood School, who had a Pelicans regular Toby Hoare, named player of the festival by Lee Dowers.

Lee worked with the school sports co-ordinator Andrea Glover for the KES cluster. Lee will be working in the Terrington High School cluster next half term.

Lee wishes to thank Sam Major, Ole Batterham and Sharon Means for all their help, plus the teachers and pupils from both schools.
