LYNN Stars co-promoter Jonathan Chapman said that the side's Premier League speedway title dream for this season is realistically over after Tuesday's narrow loss 49-41 at the Isle of Wight.
Chapman said: "It was close, but no cigar, again.

"It's not physically impossible for us to win the league, but we're relying on everyone else to mess up.

"We've drawn away three times, and one point in each of those meetings would have been us six points better off, and we would have been rolling.

"I think we can win all our remaining meetings. Whatever will happen, it will finish very close."

The Stars have arranged for the popular traditional Pride of the East to be staged at Norfolk Arena on Wednesday, September 24.

Wednesday's Premier League meeting with Stoke was rained off.

It has been rearranged for Wednesday, August 27.
