THE play-off chasing Lynn Money Centre Stars tomorrow take on a dangerous Stoke speedway team that possesses a serious threat to anyone in the Premier League.
Lynn co-promoter Jonathan Chapman said: "There's a chance that, by the time the Stoke meeting comes around, we could be top of the league.

"Then it's for everyone else to knock us off that perch. If we also win against Stoke, then we've got a great chance of finishing second."

Boosting a Potters side is young Danish rider Krister Jacobsen after being highly recommended to Stoke by current World champion and Lynn track record holder Nicki Pedersen.

Jacobsen joins two of his fellow countrymen in the Stoke team along with young British sensation, Ben Barker, plus Andrew Moore and Buzz Burrows.

It is still unclear who will replace the injured Lee Complin.

Richard Hall was down to guest for Complin in the rained-off meeting a fortnight ago and he is likely to prove a dangerous guest if called upon again.

Hall had a sensational meeting at the Norfolk Arena a few weeks back with the Scunthorpe Scorpions.

The Potters could be on the back of a hectic schedule: as at the end of last week they still had completed a mere 14 fixtures out of 30.

Over the weekend they were due to host Rye House and travel to Rye House and Glasgow.

Last night the Stars rode at Reading.

Sunday's scheduled meeting at Mildenhall fell victim to the weather and the derby clash has now been rearranged for Sunday, September 14.

Remaining home fixtures: Tonight Stoke; September 3, IoW; September 10, Reading.
