THE Lynn Money Centre Stars' Premier League promotion play-off home first leg on Wednesday with Rye House was postponed.
Stars promoter Jonathan Chapman said: "A lot of things went against us. The weather was on and off.

"We had a bit of a problem with one of the big machines that does the track.

"One of the hydr-aulics dropped onto the track and caused a big hole."

The meeting is now re-arranged for next Wednesday (October 8).

The second leg at Hoddesdon has also been put back a week, to Saturday, October 11.

Jonathan Chapman said: "If next Wednesday's meeting is also off, then it will be staged on the Friday (October 10).

"It doesn't matter to us if the first leg is at home or what, it's not a problem, not before the final."

The Mad Hatters Support Group named young reserve Simon Lambert as Lynn rider of the year, and he was presented with the Nev Lake Memorial Trophy at the Norfolk Arena last week.
