You can help us recognise the kind, courageous and dedicated young people of West Norfolk by making a Super Kids nomination.
Prize money totalling nearly £2,000 has been pledged by Premier Foods, who are sponsoring the awards for the second time this year.
The money will be divided between five winning children or groups of children and the worthy charities they choose to share their good fortune.
To ensure deserving local youngsters receive the recognition they deserve, Lynn News readers have a vital role to play.
There are four categories in the Super Kids awards and we need YOU to make your nominations using the special form on this page.
The categories are:- Achievement at home, at school, for an organisation or for charity work;
- Personal courage in the face of sickness, disability or some other setback;
- Achievement through sport;
- Acts of bravery or outstanding initiative in difficult circumstances.
The winner of each category will receive £175 and £150 to be donated to their favourite charity. The overall winner of Super Kids 2007 will receive £300 and £200 to present to his or her chosen good cause.
All the children who are nominated for an award receive a certificate and prize at a memorable awards ceremony held at Lynn Town Hall.
Children can be nominated by relatives, friends, teachers, sports coaches, youth leaders, councillors and parish councillors. Entrants from previous years may be re-nominated. To be eligible, young people must have been 16 or under on December 31, 2007.
