OXBURGH Hall will be invaded by hundreds of people with their family heirlooms when BBC 1's popular Antiques Roadshow visits the National Trust property near Swaffham on Thursday, July 17.
Filming for the 31st series of the Sunday evening TV programme, featuring new presenter Fiona Bruce, is set to thrust the 15th century moated manor house in Oxborough and the surrounding area into the national spotlight.
Property manager Teresa Squires said: "I am delighted that the BBC has chosen Oxburgh Hall as a film location this year and the staff and volunteers are looking forward to the day.
"Oxburgh will provide a fantastic backdrop for the Antiques Roadshow and the gardens will be looking stunning at that time of year."
On July 17, the doors will be open between 9.30am and 4.30pm with some of Britain's leading antiques and fine arts specialists on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors.
People are being invited to raid their attics and take along their family heirlooms, household treasures and car boot bargains for inspection by the experts.
Antiques Roadshow series editor Simon Shaw said: "The team are all looking forward to visiting Oxburgh Hall. It's always exciting to see what will come to light during our visit.
"We regularly see between 1,500 and 2,000 visitors on the day, and despite the high turnout, everyone will get to see an expert."
