A STREET collection for Christian Aid in Swaffham on Saturday, May 17, raised a total of £525 despite squally showers on the day.
Muriel Bean, Christian Aid coordinator for Churches Together in Swaffham, thanked the 16 collectors who braved the weather and the people who donated.

She said: "The money is much-needed for ongoing work as well as in response to the needs following the recent appalling disasters in Burma and China.

"Christian Aid works in conjunction with the other major charities under the umbrella of the Disasters Emergency Fund to ensure that aid reaches the affected people."
