Marsh walk – At the end of March the meeting of St Clement women's club differed from its usual format when at 6pm, 11 members travelled by car to the local marshes for a walk and to do some bird watching.
Those members not wishing or able to make the visit, arrived at the village hall at the normal time of 7.45pm where they were joined by the marsh walkers.

After tea and biscuits, Sylvia Rumsey organised a drawing game with members forming into four teams. The winning team consisted of Rita Day, Gill Last, Averil Page and Margaret Webb.

Carol Pollendine collected names of members wishing to visit the Edinburgh Mill Shop at the end of April, and also for the meal out in May.

Flower Club – At the March meeting at the village hall a warm welcome was given to a new guest demonstrator, Barbara Collins.

Her final arrangements under the heading brighter days are coming, were varied and beautiful. An abundance of flora and fauna was used and conifer bases included a wrought-iron container, wicker linen basket, and a bamboo bowl, etc. Barbara was thanked by Molly Hunt for brightening up the members' evening.
