CCTV cameras installed at Tilney St Lawrence have already caught two graffiti culprits, parish councillors heard.
At the May meeting, Cllr Jones said the cameras had led police to identify those responsible. A member of the village committee also expressed thanks in a report to the council for recent financial assistance and for installing CCTV in the car park.
The Norfolk Policing Plan for 2008 was circulated.
Cllr Mr B. Ayres agreed to act as the key leader in the parish with regard to the local emergency contingency plan. Mr D. Appleby, Mr D. Jones, Mr C. Mills, Mrs E. Jones and Mrs C. Ayres volunteered their services as and when needed.
Cllr D. Jones reported that a short questionnaire was now on the parish website asking parishioners to respond to the clerk. He explained that this step had been taken to ensure the parish council was made aware of parishioners' views when the time came to determine a planning application.

In response to an inquiry from a parishioner regarding a possible development on vacant land between 63 and 67 High Road, the chairman said the land had always been earmarked for development either by West Norfolk Council or a housing association.
He said if it was to be developed, a planning application would need to be submitted and that would be the time for public and parish council comments.
He suggested in the meantime, the parishioner could make inquiries at the borough council to see if the land had been sold to a housing association or a private individual.
The clerk reported that the company approached for a quotation for restoration of the village sign will be visiting the parish to look at both the sign at Tilney St Lawrence and the sign at Islington.
Cllr D. Jones reported that he had inspected the sign at Islington and although it is in poor condition, it is not about to fall over and injure anyone.
