TITAN the Robot towered over shoppers in Lynn's Vancouver Quarter on Saturday to signal the launch of a new shop featuring "big boys' toys".
Eight-foot-tall Titan, who is a well-known figure on the Internet, wowed the crowds at Toys 4 Boyz in Broad Street.
The store, which has been opened by Spalding man Stuart Forth, sells items such as remote-controlled cars, iPod accessories and computer attachments and follows the launch of a successful website www.toys 4boyz.com earlier this year.
It was decided to have the first store in Lynn, said manager Mrs Victoria Wilkinson, because of numbers of shoppers and regeneration in the area.
Up to 300 people gathered for the launch where other attractions included the armoured taxi from the Sylvester Stallone action movie Judge Dredd and a team of all-action space rangers on power stilts who gave out fliers and shot water pistols!
The day also featured free gifts and special offers.
