Youngsters and their families joined staff at Northwold’s The Norman School for their first traditional May Day celebration as a newly-formed academy school.

Joining in the ancient tradition, with tea and cake on the lawns, families watched on as the children performed the traditional May Day dances they had been preparing in school. Pictured above is the May Day king and queen, Archie Ramshaw and Joana Pedras, and below dancing around the maypole.

The school’s next celebration will be their school carnival, held on June 14, with a theme of Swinging Sixties and plenty of space for floats. Contact the school on 01366 728241 for more information. MLNF14AF05001/011
