The UK’s number one tribute act to Led Zeppelin will be hosting a special fundraiser for armed forces charity, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, next month at Lynn’s Corn Exchange.

The Lynn charity works to support the children of men and women killed in action while serving with the British Armed Forces by providing trips, treats, holidays, outings and activities for families of the fallen.

Band member, Jack Tanner, said: “My partner works for a charity, so where it’s possible I like to tie in a show to help a local charity which might not receive the press that the biggies get.

“We ask for donations, so we and the charities are just happy to raise what we can. Obviously more people, more money raised so the onus is on us to try to sell lots of tickets!”

Nikki Scott, 27, founded the charity following the death of her soldier husband, Cpl Lee Scott while serving in Afghanistan, turning both hers and her children’s lives upside down.

She said: “The fact that we have been recognised by such a fantastic and popular tribute act is amazing. Having Hats Off To Led Zepplin support Scotty’s Little Soldiers means that it will help us to reach a whole new audience and in turn means we can spread even more awareness for the charity and reach more children.

“There are over 300 children in the UK who have lost a parent whilst serving in the British Armed Forces and we currently support 126 of those, so for us as a charity 2014 is all about awareness and hopefully reaching those children we haven’t yet been able to help.”

She added: “We are all very excited that Hats Off To Led Zepplin have chosen to support us and giving us the opportunity to collect when they perform at the Corn Exchange. We are about to purchase the third Holiday Home so the money raised will help go towards kitting it out with all the wonderful home comforts that our families love when they are staying in the Scotty Lodges.”

Hats Off To Led Zeppelin are set to play the Corn Exchange on Friday, February 7.

Close your eyes and let these four world class musicians take you back to when Led Zeppelin ruled the earth.

Having appeared in such West End productions as We Will Rock You, Rent, Thriller LIVE!, Dancing in the Streets, Return to the Forbidden Planet and Buddy – these guys are a truly professional outfit guaranteed to give you a night that you won’t forget in a hurry!

Four years ago, the band created a buzz unheard of for a tribute act and last year saw them playing venues across the globe, releasing a DVD, picking up an award and are now to be the subject of a new documentary film.

Hats off to Led Zeppelin are the only tribute act in the UK officially endorsed by Marshall Amplifiers and they are managed by Warren Grant, whose father Peter was Led Zeppelin’s manager.

The Agents Association of Great Britain have crowned them the Official UK Number One Tribute to the gods of rock and the band performed at the first UK Tribute Awards last year.
