The final names have now been added to the billing and Thetford Forest is all set to once again wow the crowds this summer with an eclectic mix of top pop, rock and classical acts.

Taking place over June 12-14 and July 11-13, the summer concerts will feature artists including the X Factor’s Rebecca Ferguson, classical star Katherine Jenkins and punk rockers The Pogues.

Rachael Miller, event manager at the Forestry Commission, said: “We are delighted to now have all our Thetford Forest dates announced.

“We hope to attract new audiences to the venue this summer to enjoy the unique experience of a woodland concert for the first time as well as welcoming back forest fans from previous gigs.”

She added: “It is certainly an eclectic mix of acts this year providing something for all musical tastes.”

The full line-up will see Rebecca Ferguson opening the summer concerts at High Lodge on June 12, following the release of her debut album, Heaven, in 2011 to a blaze of critical acclaim and achieving double platinum status in the UK.

Britpop pioneers, Suede, continue the line-up with their performance the following night. The band kickstarted the Britpop movement when they bounded on to the music scene with their number one debut album, selling over 100,000 in the first week of release in 1993. Success continued throughout the nineties with further number one albums.

On Saturday, June 14, The Pogues will bring their compelling hybrid of folk, punk and rock to the stage in a performance that will be packed with their innovative records, played with traditional instruments and electric guitars.

Boyzone will make their Forest Live debut on July 11, with special guest Kian Egan of Westlife, as part of their BZ20 anniversary celebrations. The Dublin boys will be performing hits including Love Me For A Reason, Words and No Matter What.

Kian Egan said: “I am really looking forward to these gigs and, of course, it’s going to be a lot of fun to be out on tour with the boys!”

The following night, the crowds will be treated to a performance by the most prolific classical crossover artist, Katherine Jenkins, whose stratospheric rise made her the fastest-selling mezzo-soprano ever. She last played the venue to a sell-out crowd in 2008 and is looking forward to returning this summer. The concerts will include a selection of Katherine’s favourite works as well as classic proms repertoire.

The summer’s concerts will be finished off on July 13 with a performance by Deacon Blue, the most respected of all Scottish bands, whose melodic pop-rock style has gained them a fervent fan base.

Lead singer, Ricky Ross, said: “This is a new adventure for the band. We are looking forward to bringing the full Deacon Blue live experience to Thetford Forest and hope you can join us.”

Tickets go on sale at 9am this morning for Rebecca Ferguson’s performance for £36.30. Check for availability of tickets for all performances with the box office on 03000 680400 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
