A touring film company are bringing a rare screening of a British horror feature films to a Lynn hotel next week in a double bill focused on murderous mothers and the ladies that lose it.

CULTure Babylon are a series of cult films and talks celebrating the dark and offbeat side to culture.

The team will be showing two films in The Globe’s conference room, with an introduction by Kit Lewis who will be considering why the homicidically insane feature so strongly in contemporary horror. They will be showing 1974’s Symptoms, also known as The Blood Virgin, offering a great opportunity to see Angela Pleasence in a rare starring role. This will be followed by Persecution, which was released the following year, and sees lana Turner giving an award-winning performance as as dangerously manipulative mother.

Doors open from 7pm on Tuesday.
