Young people across West Norfolk will have the opportunity to take part in a series of exciting and free summer workshops to help develop their skills in Norwich over the coming weeks.

Creative Connections are running these workshops, aimed at all young people aged 13 to 25, on a range of creative subjects to help youngsters connect with issues and ideas they have for their community.

Ever wanted to learn how to write a song and lyrics? How about making your own music video? Want to make a documentary? Or perhaps something more exotic is appealing, such as learning to play the cajon, or develop your percussion skills? There are a total of 13 topics available, including a full-on two-day Rock
School.

The Creative Connections programme starts on Thursday, July 24, and runs throughout the summer holidays ending on Saturday, August 30.

Oliver Payne is managing the programme, he said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people of all abilities to develop their skills in a wide range of creative subjects, supported by some of the county’s best tutors and facilitators – and of course the best part is that it’s all free.”

“A really important part of the Creative Connections programme is that we’re able to meet the needs of any young person – we believe in equal access to music and creativity.”

Head to the Creative Connections website at www.musicalkeys.co.uk/cc/ or call 01603 766690 for full details and to book places.
